Great with brisket!

2 lbs. fresh asparagus

12 slices bacon

½ cup light brown sugar

½ cup butter

1 T soy sauce

½ tsp. garlic salt

¼ tsp. ground pepper

Preheat oven to 400. Divide spears into 12 bundles. Wrap 1 piece of bacon around each bundle. Lay seam side down. In saucepan combine brown sugar, butter, soy sauce, garlic salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil. Pour hot mixture over bundles. Roast for 25 minutes or until bacon looks fully cooked.
