UNT Dallas to host Trailblazer 360 event for prospective students Saturday, April 1

The University of North Texas at Dallas (UNT Dallas) is opening its campus to high school juniors, seniors and college students considering a transfer so they can design the next steps of their educational journey.

One of UNT Dallas’ largest events of the year, Trailblazer 360 will take place on Saturday, April 1, 2023, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

As the city of Dallas’ only four-year public university, UNT Dallas offers an unmatched combination of rigorous academic options, value and diversity. With more than 30 undergraduate majors and nine graduate degree programs, UNT Dallas students can customize a path to success that best fits their career interests, budget, and life on- and off-campus.

The annual Trailblazer 360 event provides students, parents, and other community members with opportunities to learn about UNT Dallas from all angles and perspectives. It will be a family-friendly event, complete with food and entertainment, and will offer the ultimate college open house experience, providing a hands-on preview day for prospective undergraduate and graduate students.

Instead of reading about UNT Dallas online or in a brochure, visitors can see the university up close and personal. They can talk and interact with current students, alumni, academic advisors, admissions counselors and financial aid experts. They can tour the campus, including classrooms, study areas, the residence hall, the cafeteria and our own Starbucks located in the Student Center. They can also enter a drawing to win a scholarship.

“UNT Dallas is the local college on the move, gaining momentum in regional and national rankings. As students seek both quality and affordability, the university offers pathways to graduation with more knowledge and less debt,” said Luis Franco, UNT Dallas Director of Undergraduate Admissions and Recruitment.

Because of its educational and financial value, UNT Dallas recently achieved the highest rankings in two key categories of the Texas University Report Card, an annual review by the educational non-profit ScholarShot.

Money.com named UNT Dallas the top-ranked university in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and No. 5 in the state in its latest Best Colleges in Texas list.

And nationally, UNT Dallas earned recognition in the most recent rankings for Top Public Schools, Top Performers on Social Mobility, and Best Value Schools by U.S. News & World Report. The rankings exemplify the university’s dedication to its mission, which is to empower students, transform lives and strengthen communities.

Current UNT Dallas students, alumni and employees are also invited to join the Trailblazer 360 celebration. We welcome everyone to Blaze Your Trail at UNT Dallas. Please stop by and visit to learn more about becoming a Trailblazer and pursuing your educational goals.
